So happy to share that Kapag nagwala ang kalabaw (KR: 물소가 일어서는 날 | ENG: When the carabao gets mad) will be screened at the 27th Seoul Human Rights Film Festival!
So stoked to see the announcement in Hangul. Above all, just grateful to be a part of this. Hope to meet Soha and the rest of the team soon.
Laguna. Baguio. Cubao. Now Leyte. The carabao rages on.
Kapag nagwala ang kalabaw is an official finalist at the first-ever Saliduwa Film Festival in Baybay, Leyte, happening May 16-17 under the Patintero (Non–Eastern Visayas) category.
With International Workers' Day approaching this May 1, we carry this documentary to a new ground on the belief that labor is shared, lived, and fought for across all regions.

i am uploading this during good friday, which my catholic roots speak this day to me with reflection. being present in the edsa40 rally allowed me to witness the dance of protest and religion, how they are intertwined with their own movements yet shared truth. it was injustice that crucified jesus, and it was also injustice that killed many filipinos through poverty and corruption. with that, we continue to struggle, through whispered prayers or loud calls, holding on to the same faith that suffering is not the end; and that collective resistance, in whatever form it takes, carries the promise of change.
