I’m so excited to share that I’ll be performing at TEDxArgyle St in Halifax!!!
Two years ago, I attended a TEDx event organized by TEDxUofT, and it was such an inspiring experience. As much as I was drawn to the speakers, one thing that really stayed with me was the performers. I loved seeing art exist within a professional space, and I remember telling myself: one day, I want to be that person on stage. And now, somehow, that moment is here.
What excites me most is that this won’t just be a performance. I want it to feel like an experience. Over the past few days, my brain has been overflowing with ideas.
Last night I sat surrounded by sticky notes, journals, and books, trying to piece together what I want this to look and feel like. At the heart of it all is one idea: creating your own story.
As someone who was born in a small town of India named Aligarh where creative careers are often dismissed and many women do not have educational rights- this platform feels so personal and meaningful.
I really hope that the women back home will feel empowered to watch someone like them on these global platforms and they will believe in their own capabilities of owning their scripts.
I’m incredibly grateful to
@fatumkaba and the entire organizing team for trusting me with this opportunity. I genuinely cannot wait for this event.
Also, please check out this year’s lineup of speakers. I’m honestly blown away by the people involved- Nancy Regan, Drew Dudley, Vatsal Sood, Dr.Andrise Bass,PhD,EdD, Ingrid Deon, David Divine, Titi Akinsanmi, Sandra T., Terrence Taylor, Adam Langer, Madusha Ranaweera, Wyndolyn Brown, Roz Kennery, Frank Palermo, Beth Hayward, Ashwin Kutty jointly with paul mackinnon,Joe O’Connor, Michelle Weger - Productivity Expert, Lauren Peveril.
