🚨Don't forget! The application deadline for the 2026 Vail Scholar-Athlete Recognition Award is this Friday, May 15.
The Vail Recreation District proudly awards the Vail Scholar-Athlete Recognition Award to one male and one female graduating senior each year in recognition of their outstanding academic and athletic achievements. This $4,000 scholarship provides recipients with $1,000 per year for up to four years, contingent on continuous college enrollment and academic performance.

Thankfully, this warm weather has provided us with enough flow to see all you boaters tomorrow! You can register online until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, or you can come in-person to International Bridge at 4 p.m. to sign up! Expect a double time-trial format. 🚨RACE UPDATE: Regarding Tuesday's upcoming Whitewater Race (May 12), we are monitoring flows and, while they are currently low from this week’s cold front, there is warm weather on the way. It looks promising enough to raise Gore Creek flows above 115 CFS (the race minimum).
However, we will continue to monitor the weather and flows throughout the weekend. A final decision will be by noon on Monday, May 11. Stay tuned—registered racers will be emailed and updates will be posted at vailrec.com and on our FB and IG pages.
