TL;DR: Here's the live recording of my Resistanz Festival set. Infinite grattitude to @crispygoth for recording and him, @dj_amyladygoth and @charlie_octo_girl for being the best Saturday crew and cheerleaders! You're all Legends! So let me start by saying I'm insanely proud of this setlist. I think it's probably the strongest one hour set I've ever played anywhere. That doesn't mean it's perfect or a different one couldn't have been better. I've considered if I should've added some (more) classics instead of having 17 of 22 tracks from 2025-2026. I've also considered that maybe I should've just played a high intensity hour at 130bpm and up instead of a journey between styles from 110 to 165. Which is where we get to what I wanted from this set. First of all I wanted a set that showcased who I am as a DJ. I always say I want to take people on a journey, so I felt for a first time away from Belgium and with a notoriously open audience that's what I had to do. I also knew the last track before my set would be Scooter and there's no competing there. So my logic was very quickly to start slow and heavy. Once I'd decided on that I went through my folder of recent favourites and selected a longlist of about 50 tracks. Something else I quickly decided on was that I wanted a bit of Belgium in there, but I didn't want to play expected 'scene' music like front 242 or Suicide Commando. The Regi track (for those who don't know - the guy behind milk inc) to me is probably the best futurepop track that nobody knows. Praga Khan was a no-brainer and I knew I wanted that Zedd mix by Organ Donors, which is just pump up the jam pumped up. Those were the first tracks I locked in. I also figured that I'd have to end the mix with Ultraviolence's Elektra, which is the quintessential :beatnation: track and the track most associated with me in Belgium. And I knew it'd work. Up next I put the beginning on Horskh and Synapsyche and selected a few tracks that I *had* to have: Mängelexemplar & Dstrtd Sgnl, Laibach, Prometheus flame, Faderhead (A Patreon exclusive track if anyone wants to search for it) and Blackbook.
