Vaeda is that rare mix of intelligence, humor, and rebellion, the kind of artist who’s introspective and bold, cerebral and messy in all the best ways. She’s an old soul with a mischievous mind, part apparition, part punk princess.
"My influences are all over the map: country, punk, folk, jazz, but they all meet somewhere in the middle of who I am. I’m finally clear on what I want to say and how loud I want to say it.”
“Right now, I’m leaning into that live, raw rock energy, the kind that feels alive. I started out writing piano ballads and alt-pop at fourteen, but growing up expanded my palette. I understand more now about what’s possible, sonically and emotionally."
She doesn’t believe in branding herself, at least, not in the corporate sense.
“I’m not a company. I’m an artist who wants to express myself in whatever medium calls to me. Some days I want to appear as an apparition or a swanky jazz singer in deep red. Other days I want to be a punk princess stamping my platforms and grabbing my crotch. I am happy this way.”
She’s an artist who REFUSES TO BE BOXED IN.
Right now, she’s in a writing season, crafting new music with her band Baby & The Tramps, planning a solo album for 2026, and exploring new mediums that blur performance and art.
“I’m most fulfilled when I’m creating and break through the hard parts. That’s when I learn I’m capable of facing myself.”
She doesn’t chase being “seen” or “heard.” She chases the spark that happens when creation sets her free.
When asked if there’s a difference between Celia and Vaeda, she laughs:
“They’re the same person. I finally get that being myself is what makes me interesting. No one else can do it like me.”
