When Rahul and I first started Vaayu we wanted to create a space that would nourish our passions and inspire the collective to live a lifestyle inspired by adventure, creativity, and fun while also having a positive impact on our community and the natural environment.
Over the years at Vaayu Village, we were blessed to have a wonderful community rally around our intention and help us lay the foundation for our dreams to flourish. Vaayu Kula is the next step in our journey together.
We decided to name this place 'Kula' because it is only through the many wonderful people who came together around our shared intention, that our story can continue here today. It is not the place that makes Vaayu special. It is all of you, the community, who share in our dreams, that make Vaayu what it is. So no matter where we go, as long as you are there with us, it will feel like home. Thank you for being on this magical journey with us.

On a warm afternoon in Mandrem, Goa, we gathered at our beloved Vaayu, a space that has become part of our everyday rhythm. Just steps from our FARA Boutique store and studio, it felt only natural to bring this collection to life here 🌴✨
Under the Palms is rooted in Goa, in the softness of the light, the movement of the trees, and the quiet choice to live more slowly and more intentionally. To celebrate, we brought together a group of women who embody that spirit so effortlessly, our Goa girlies!
Conversations flowed, stories were shared, and each woman brought her own energy and interpretation of the collection. A reminder of what we design for, not just clothing, but expression…

For more than ten years, the Vaayu New Year’s Gathering has been a ritual we return to each year. A night to pause with the passing of time, to look back, and to step forward together.
This year the gathering was called Hao La, the people’s song. The idea came from the traditions and communal spirit of North Eastern tribal cultures that many of us at Vaayu come from. Hao is a word used by the Naga tribes of Northeast India before colonial times to refer to people or community. It reflects an older worldview where nature was sacred, daily life was inseparable from the community, and culture was carried forward through song, memory and storytelling.
In many of these traditions nothing was written. Knowledge lived in the voices of the people and in the gatherings they created together. Hao La was our way of honouring that spirit and carrying a little of that intention into the way we celebrate and the way we live.
We come from different places, backgrounds and paths, but on nights like this what becomes clear is the thread that connects us. A shared love for music, culture, art and the communities we build around them.
This gathering has never been just a party. It is where we mark endings and beginnings, where we remember how far we have come, where we dance until the lines between strangers and friends dissolve.
To everyone who has shaped this night over the years, thank you for the energy, the creativity, the dancefloor moments and the memories.
Whether you want to sweat it out with a vinyasa flow, ground yourself with a breath work sessions or just try something different check out our regular classes and workshops at Vyana Shala!
