Just outside Copenhagen, photographer @katrinemoebius lives with her family in a 19th-century farmhouse where low ceilings, collected objects and solid pine furniture set the tone. The Peace lounge chair by @t_o_o_g_o_o_d is made from heat-treated Finnish pine — Lunawood ThermoWood®.
The timber is modified using only heat and steam, which makes it stable and weather-resistant without added chemicals. Over time, it responds naturally to light, moisture, and use, gradually shifting in colour and developing a characterful patina.

Vaarnii turns five 🎈🦭
Last week, we gathered with friends to celebrate five years of @vaarnii – a brand rooted in Finnish pine, bold forms and a distinct, uncompromising approach to furniture. The evening took place at @helsinki.playground , a space well known among Helsinki’s creative community – part gallery, part shop, part venue.
On display, the Vaarnii 002 Ast Stool by @dimitri_baehler , customised for the occasion by artist @fredrik.karell .

Made to age over time.
Vaarnii’s outdoor furniture is made from heat-treated Finnish pine, which responds naturally to light and use. When new, the surface is a warm brown. Exposed to the elements, it begins to gradually settle into a soft silver tone.
