Editing process from “Man struggles with an idea” film . Learning editing on professional software was my main goal even though the storytelling is more important in any film. But my love for editing is what made me sacrifice little bit of the storytelling part. But what I learned throughout the process was irreplaceable. I learned key framing, speed ramps, adjustment layer, masking, special effects, filters, isolating the subject and most importantly the blending mood along side many more. The film production stages was fun, engaging, experimental in all aspects, how to communicate with the adviser asking for support from classmates directing, managing locations, lights props and behind the scene 🎬 camera issues all was a great real and practical opportunity to explore, understand and develop all the necessary skills for next film project using this experience as foundation from all the mistakes, issues and challenges faced throughout the production phases which also made me more confident in this type of project . . Man Struggles with an Idea . Frustration often arises for various reasons. For example, when we learn something new, the learning process can generate feelings of frustration, not because we lack the ability to learn, but because we often rush the results and to control the process. Frustration is normal, but not if it overwhelms you to the level of stoping you from learning. Learning requires time, patience, and consistency. This film aims to shed light on such situations that we frequently encounter. The key is to contunue, even if it’s just a little. becouse If you don’t feel frustrated while learning something new, it means you’re not learning it at all. . What a magical opening night Celebrating our 50th Graduate Showcase and what a way to mark it surrounded by so many familiar faces. Past staff, past students… one of the best things about this place is that no matter how long you’ve been away, you can always come back and feel part of it again. That sense of community hasn’t changed in 50 years, and you could really feel it on the night. So many stories, memories, and moments shared from studying Graphic Design in Athlone. @tus_athlone Huge congratulations to all of our graduates. From those early, sometimes quiet beginnings to the confident designers you are today, what a journey. The exhibition is full of incredible work, the team are so proud of each of you. A very special moment welcoming back our own graduate, Táine King, who officially opened the show. Táine has built an amazing career in the film industry, working as an Art Director with Ridley Scott on House of Gucci and Napoleon. Her opening speech was incredibly inspiring sharing how her time in Athlone gave her the foundation, confidence, and mindset to build her career. A great reminder to our students that everything they’ve learned here will carry them forward.
