The arm of our rover needs to be light enough to carry, strong enough to work in harsh conditions, and precise enough to support life-detection tasks. Three REV Robotics NEO 550 Brushless Motors drive each of its joints, giving us the power density and control we need without adding unnecessary mass.
We are proud to integrate REV Robotics technology into such a mission-critical part of the rover.

Husky Robotics has officially been accepted into the 2026 University Rover Challenge at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah! We are heading to compete globally, and we could not be more excited.
We are 25% of the way to our donation goal with 30 days left. Every dollar goes directly into the rover and the students building it.

Manufacturing plays a key role in the development of our rover from material selection, assembly, and machining. Our team mostly works with metals such as aluminum and steel in an effort to balance structural integrity and weight but our members also get experience working with composites which can be seen on our Arm!
