We’re excited to announce that we have been granted High Performance status again for the next two seasons. We would like to say a massive thank you to @warwicksport for selecting us, and to last year’s exec for their hard work in pushing the club forwards this past year, leaving us in a place where we can continue to build on last season’s success!

Partnership Renewal 🤝 We are delighted to announce that UWMFC have agreed the renewal of our partnership with Leamington FC. This agreement ensures that all four of our BUCS teams will continue to benefit from UEFA-licensed coaches, while UWMFC remains committed to supporting the development pathways at Leamington. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with a key organisation in our community, and we look forward to working with @brakesofficial on key events in the years ahead.

25/26 TEAM REVIEWS ❤️🐺 Zander Watson has had a solid season with the 1’s who have managed to retain their place once again in Midlands 1A. This has put them in a great position to be pushing for even more next season. Tom Mayock had an overall positive season with the 2’s this year. They had a successful cup run and ensured the relegation of Cov whist simultaneously achieving a solid 4th place finish in Division 2B. Will BE and the 3’s had a phenomenal season this year, winning Division 4A with a massive 27 points despite movement of players. This is no easy feat and the 3’s are no doubt back where they belong in 3A and will be looking to carry the same form into next season. Harry Hickles led the 4’s this year and it’s safe to say he did a fantastic job. They came 2nd behind the 3’s, ensuring Hickles’ reign goes down as one of the 4’s best seasons.

Our 25/26 Charities Round-up. This year as a club, we’ve been raising money for both Movember and CALM. A special mention goes to Tom Chumbley for the work he’s done throughout the year to make this possible.

CLUB AWARDS 25/26 Steve Sharman Award: The Steve Sharman award is handed to the clubman who shows the greatest sacrifice and devotion to UWMFC throughout the season both on and off the pitch, named after a true club legend. This year, the award goes to Harry Hickles. Hickles has been a role model and leader for the entire club this year, leading the 4s to one of their best ever campaigns. The culture he has developed in his squad this year is second to none, and he has gone above and beyond time and time again. He’s been a key member of the senior exec and captains group, and his match reports at circle will go down in history. From stepping onto the pitch at Varsity to chants of “Messi”, to racking up nearly 30 goal involvements during his time in the club (mainly from launching missiles into the box from throw-ins in his own half), Hickles has done it all this year. The list goes on and on for this man, but this award is testament to the dedication he has shown to the club in creating something truly special this year. Fresher of the Year - handed down by Freddie Stevens: Fresher of the Year is an award which encapsulates UWMFC as a whole, given to the fresher who puts the club first and has thrown themselves the most into everything it has to offer during their first year – both on and off the pitch. This year's intake has been incredible across the board, and every one of them should be proud of how they've represented the club. With that said, it is an absolute honour to pass this award on to Tom King. Since joining, Tom has been involved in everything. He has shown up to Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday sessions throughout the year with near-perfect attendance, and on top of that, turned up every Wednesday to help warm up the keepers – entirely off his own back. Off the pitch, Tom has been a fixture at every circle and bar crawl, persisting through each one despite what can only be described as an innate inability to handle himself once alcohol gets involved. His attitude throughout has been absolutely spot on, embodying exactly what it means to throw yourself into everything on offer, and consistently going out of his way to help other lads.

3s: The 3s embarked on the final game of the season away at Leicester. The league is done with the trophy firmly in the Warwick cabinet so this seemed like a bit fun last run out for the lads. The game started with a lot of long balls with not much actual football being played. But 10 minutes in David finds his way on the edge of the box and fires one in to make it 1-0. A while later Hickles with his about 15th long throw of the game launches one at the keeper who didn’t see it coming and Finley Avery gets a small touch to put it in the net. Shit football continues and a third goes in with a header from Aaryan. 6 mins to go, Cochran leaves his net for the first time in his life to play LW, Gudger goes in goal (he actually makes a decent save) and Hickles goes up front. FT 3-0. Pags masterclass from the sideline half a crate deep with the speaker blasting throughout. What a season for the boys. UTF3s ❤️❤️❤️

1s: The ones are staying up. UTFW 2s: In our last game of the season, we faced Birmingham 2s for one last game at the fortress. A strong start to the game saw Jesse beat his man and win a pen. Mayock steps up and smashes it into the top corner, leaving the keeper with no chance. We continue to be on top, and Hubble made his opponent look like a mug and slid in Jesse who made no mistake and buried a 1 on 1 with the keeper. HT 2-0 Warwick. A brilliant defensive display in the second half saw Birmingham have no real chances, and right at the death, Jadon beat his man and squared it to Jesse who rounded up a great day in the office and season for the 2s. This marks the end of another good season for us, and it’s been a hell of ride, UTF2s ❤️🐺 3s: The 3s played Leicester 2s in a game with very little on the line already having secured promotion. It started scrappy, but Mattie Loader opened the scoring with a delicious left foot finish from outside the box following some nice patient football from Warwick. Corners proved a threat, with both Josh and Finley adding to the scoreline. Leicester pulled one back, but Aaryan and Anuj got involved in the scoring to put the game out of sight in an overall fairly comfortable outing. FT 5-2 Warwick.

Last BUCS Wednesday of the season! The 2s and 3s look to finish off the season strong, and the 1s have a huge game against Notts 2s looking to secure safety! Make sure to get down to Cryfield 4G to give them a good crowd. ❤️🐺
