TOMORROW!! Celebrate Earth week by biking to campus for some free donuts, smoothies on the smoothie bike, a raffle to win a gift card and an Owala, and our helmet sale!
Food for thought: Why arenât there more bins on campus? You may have noticed, UVM doesnât have bins outdoors- this is intentional! Research shows that outdoor bins require frequent emptying, attract pests, and can actually increase litter when they overflow while placing stress on custodial staff. The good news? We already have the infrastructure we need- itâs just about using it better. Make sure you know where your buildingâs compost and recycling stations are, and when in doubt, carry your trash a little further to find the right bin. Small habits add up!
