A couple of weeks ago, we hosted the UUMUN Academy Day: a day for students to get to know UUMUN and experience what it is like to step into the role of a delegate.
The day started with two workshops on public speaking and lobbying, preparing participants for the mini MUN in the afternoon. This year’s mini MUN took place in DISEC, where delegates debated the topic of weapons proliferation in the Middle East — a timely and highly relevant issue.
Throughout the day, participants did an impressive job. It was great to see how quickly they developed their confidence, debating skills and understanding of MUN procedure.
Looking back, Academy Day was a productive, educational and fun day, filled with good discussions, laughter and a lot of energy. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
