In the lead-up to the milestone of our 150th anniversary, the University of Tokyo is unveiling a new communication initiative under the slogan “Challengers for Changes” (“C4C”). The C4C logo combines the two initial letters C of the slogan with UTokyo’s ginkgo symbol to represent infinite possibilities, while the C4C film visualizes the campaign’s statement. Featuring Japanese singer-songwriter Hana Hope as the narrator and violinist and UTokyo alumnus Shuntaro Tsuneta as the composer of the film score, we hope you enjoy watching the film!

UTokyo original Lunch Pack introduced🍞
The University of Tokyo and Yamazaki Baking Co., Ltd., maker of the Lunch Pack lineup of sandwich pockets, co-developed an original UTokyo-themed version of the popular snack, as part of the university’s 150th Anniversary Project.
The collaboration was made possible through the joining of forces among various UTokyo organizations.
The winning flavors, “Ramune Cream & Lemon Cream,” inspired by UTokyo’s school colors—tansei light blue and yellow—were chosen from among the numerous ideas floated.
The project was led by Qiao Peiyao, a student in the Hidenori Watanave Laboratory at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies.
On May 8, a special tasting event was held for members of the media and UTokyo students.
The refreshing taste of the cream suggestive of the lemon-lime-flavored ramune soda and the lemon cream elicited smiles from the tasters. ✨

東大オリジナルの「ランチパック」が誕生🍞
東京大学の創設150周年記念事業の一環として、山崎製パン（株）との共同開発による東大オリジナルランチパックが誕生しました！
学内の多様な組織が手を取り合うことで実現した本プロジェクト。
数あるアイデアの中から選ばれたのは、「ラムネクリーム＆レモンクリーム」という東大カラーに着想を得た味でした！
企画の中心となったのは、学際情報学府の渡邉英徳研究室に所属するQiao Peiyaoさん。
また、5月8日には、ランチパックの試食会が開催されました。
ラムネクリームとレモンクリームの爽やかな味わいに、笑顔がこぼれる参加者の皆さん✨

Architecture students from three national universities in Tokyo—UTokyo, Institute of Science Tokyo and Tokyo University of the Arts—presented their graduation thesis projects at the 2025 Diploma Design Projects Joint Review held on March 15, 2026, at UTokyo. The works were selected for a joint critique by a jury of experts.

【 #UTokyoSports 】This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Cheerleaders squad of the University of Tokyo's Cheerleading Club. 🌸
Originally formed in 1976, as the Baton Twirlers with only one member, the Cheerleaders have gradually expanded the scope of their activities since then, albeit with some twists and turns and setbacks along the way. As of March 2026, the team's roster comprises 31 members.
Practicing dance and stunts daily, the Cheerleaders are involved in a wide range of activities from cheering on the sports clubs of UTokyo's Athletic Foundation to stage performances at various occasions.
A party to celebrate the Cheerleaders' half-century milestone was held on March 29 to express gratitude to senior alumni of the Tokyo Big6 intercollegiate league who lent their support at the time of the squad's inception and to commemorate its history. About 170 people, including founding members and alumni representing a wide range of ages, attended. In the event's latter part, current and former members performed together on stage, using batons, which have since fallen into disuse, and recreating cheer routines from 50 years ago. The event was a huge success.
【 #東大Xスポーツ 】「東京大学応援部チアリーダーズ」は今年、創設50周年を迎えました🌸 東京大学応援部にバトントワラーズ（現チアリーダーズ）が創設されたのは1976年。たった1名から始まったチームは、紆余曲折を経て次第に活動の幅を広げ、2026年3月現在、3学年合計31名まで拡大しました。
日々ダンスやスタンツの練習を重ねており、活動は東京大学運動会各部の応援から様々なステージなど多岐に渡ります。
3月29日には50周年記念パーティが行われました。目的は、創設時にお世話になった六大学の先輩方に感謝をお伝えするとともに、50周年の歴史を振り返ること。創設メンバーをはじめ幅広い年代のOBOGが集まり、参加者は約170名にのぼりました。パーティの後半では、現役部員とOBOGのコラボステージを披露。今では使われなくなったバトンを用いたり、50年前の振り付けが再現されたりと、大変盛り上がりました。
