And with that, The 2025 Cohen New Works Festival comes to an end.
One week out and we are already looking back on the 40 incredible projects workshopped and debuted during this festival. The festival has only proved once more that New Is Now, and we hope this is only the first step these students will take on their artistic journey with these projects and themselves.

đCLOSING CEREMONY + DANCE PARTYđ
We are hosting a Closing Ceremony for the festival tomorrow, April 11, from 5-6:00pm in the Winship Atrium. We are thrilled to welcome back our Keynote Speaker, Raashin McInstosh to speak once more at this ceremony. Pizza will be provided!
Later, from 9-10pm, come back and bring your dancing shoes because we are having a dance party ft. DJ Gemz, as seen in the project Fanny Packs!

These Salons invite artists and attendees alike to spark discussion with our EXCOMM and Project Leads, reflecting on oneâs own creative process and why New Is Now is our mantra. From defining the CNWF, discussing artistic identity, and dreaming of the future of Austin festivals, come join us in the Winship Atrium and be a part of the artistic future of our world.

The Winship Atrium Project, an immersive experience, will be set up all throughout the week, being the heart and hub of all activity throughout the festival. We encourage all attendees to check it out as this is where we will be hosting our activities!

Project Lead Meet and Greet 6pm-8pm on Zoom this Tuesday 1/21:
All interested in auditioning for Cohen or serving in a creative capacity are encouraged to attend this optional event, watch project lead presentations and ask questions. Come learn more about the projects in this yearâs festival!

Tech/Performer Meet and Greet 6pm-8pm Wednesday in the Payne Theater 1/29:
Actors, dancers, leads, performers, designers, technicians, stage-managers and all other creatives are encouraged to attend and meet project leads seeking collaborators.
Auditions in the Payne Theater Thursday 1/30 and Friday 1/31:
For the audition, please prepare anything from the Audition âMenuâ created by the Project Leads. As long as itâs only 2-3 minutes long! If you have multiple skills, you can share a one-minute sample from each. For example, an actor-dancer could first give a one-minute monologue and then share one minute of a dance sequence.
