A heartfelt thank you to our incredible commencement speakers, Deepica Mutyala and Luke Anderson, for helping make our BBA Graduation celebration so meaningful and memorable. Deepica’s inspiring message on authenticity, resilience, and building with purpose challenged our graduates to lead boldly and stay true to themselves. Luke’s thoughtful reflections perfectly captured the spirit, ambition, and heart of this graduating class. We are so grateful for the wisdom, encouragement, and insight they shared with our students as they begin their next chapter. What starts here truly changes the world, and we can’t wait to see where our graduates go next. 🤘🎓

We are kicking off this year’s senior spotlights with our very own Marketing assistant, Anaya! 🥲 Ananya has helped us in the BBA Program office with all things marketing and social media for over three years! We are going to miss her but wish her all the best as she stays at McCombs to pursue her Master of Science in Business Analytics! 🧡 #mccombsgrad26 #utgrad26 #hookemhorns #whatstartshere

At the McCombs School of Business, undergraduate education is not just about choosing a major. It is about building the skills, mindset and experiences that shape future business leaders. Ty Henderson, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Associate Professor of Marketing, works across academic advising, student life, career engagement and faculty teams to shape the BBA experience from day one through graduation. His work focuses on ensuring students graduate with both the foundational knowledge and the professional skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving business environment. One of the most significant changes he is leading is the launch of the Professional Growth Sequence, a set of courses that will span all four years of the BBA program beginning in Fall 2026. Designed to complement the school’s strong academic foundation, the sequence creates space for students to intentionally develop skills such as communication, collaboration, global awareness and professional identity. A new senior capstone will further prepare students to make an immediate impact in their careers. Henderson also emphasizes flexibility within structure. Students begin with a broad foundation in business, building critical thinking and data-driven decision-making skills before pursuing specialized majors and minors. This approach ensures graduates are both well-rounded and prepared to adapt as industries evolve. Read more about Ty and our other McCombs leaders at the link in our bio

Honoring HERstory in the Atrium 💐✨ Our McCombs students came together to celebrate Women’s History Month at this sweet come-and-go event hosted by Women in Business (@texaswba ). With treats, community, and moments to recharge in between classes, it was the perfect appreciation for the incredible women who inspire us every day. If you joined us, what was your favorite part?

Meet @ruhinanji , a junior majoring in Finance with a Marketing minor, who will be spending her summer in Houston as a Management Consulting Intern at PwC! 🌟 Originally from Sugar Land, Ruhi is deeply involved on campus through organizations like Women in Business, the Social Entrepreneurship Learning Lab 🐝, and the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurship Leadership Institute. She also works as a Student Technician for McCombs, where she supports faculty, staff, and students in navigating technical challenges. Outside the classroom, Ruhi channels her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit into her business, Mithas—a South Asian–inspired coffee syrup brand ☕. Whether she’s hosting pop-ups or crafting new flavors, she’s passionate about blending culture, innovation, and business. @mithas.coffeesyrups @utexasmccombs @kswelinstitute @texaswba @utaustintx #whatstartshere

Last month, we welcomed 140 outstanding undergraduate students and 19 accomplished executives to the Hall of Honors for our 13th annual Executive Mentorship Dinner. It was a privilege to see our students connect with leaders across industries for an evening of conversation, advice, and shared experiences. What makes this evening so meaningful is the opportunity it creates for our students to have honest, one-on-one conversations with leaders in the fields they hope to enter. Experiences like this help our students build confidence, expand their networks, and better understand the many paths ahead of them. Thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable evening possible and to the mentors who generously shared their time and perspective with our students. 🤘

It’s never too early to start planning for an unforgettable fall semester! Imagine yourself in New York City: watching the leaves turn vibrant colors, discovering charming coffee shops and catching world-class Broadway shows. You can enjoy all of these experiences while earning credit through @utaustintx classes at the @utnyprogram . Meet @utexasmccombs student Evan Woodward from Cypress, TX. She attended the @utnyprogram in the fall of 2024 because she’s always wanted to live and work in New York City! And even better, she had this experience with her best friend! “The semester that I lived in New York was my favorite semester I had at UT. I gained so much wisdom and also found new independence that I did not have before. I attribute a lot of my success to this program.” Evan interned at Warner Bros. Discovery (CNN) and she was a program and content strategy intern. She had the incredible experience of working during the 2024 Presidential Election. “Without UTNY, I would not have been able to take that leap, which ultimately helped me land my next role at CNBC.” After a semester in NYC, Evan gained self-confidence, knowing she could thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. She shared that the friendships and supportive community she discovered were the most valuable aspects of the program: “I made lifelong friends and built a strong professional network.” “I chose Fall because I got to be in NYC during the holiday season. I would walk past Rockefeller Center on my way to class to see the Christmas tree, and I got to work with NBCUniversal! It truly is a dream come true!” One of Evan’s favorite memories was a private tour of the Empire State Building. “Standing at the top, looking out over the city, and realizing I actually lived there, it was absolutely surreal.” Evan encourages all students to apply for the UTNY scholarship, which made her unforgettable semester possible. Don’t miss your chance, the Fall 2026 application deadline is March 1!
