Quilan “Cue” Arnold (MFA) is a movement artist, educator, and choreographer based in Union City, NJ and Austin, TX whose work bridges street and club dance, ancestral memory, and spiritual liberation. As founder of The onCUE Company, Quilan crafts kinetic storytelling systems that help communities reclaim identity through Afro-diasporic and Biblical narratives. His body of work includes the film series “Lowelyfe,” the dance theater series, “Club Kingdom,” and “Searching for a True Move”—a movement method fusing dance technique with emotional healing, spiritual practice, and historical reflection.
His choreographic and performance credits span The Metropolitan Opera, Camille A. Brown & Dancers, Rennie Harris Puremovement, and his own onCUE Chronicles. Quilan is a 2026 Dance Camera West awardee, 2023–25 CUNY Dance Initiative Artist, a 2024 Flying Carpet Festival Choreographer, and a 2022 Alvin Ailey New Directions Lab resident. His latest work, “Ascension of the 2nd Sun” premiered at Rutgers University in 2025.
Quilan teaches at institutions across the U.S. including University of Texas-- Austin, offers an online Hip-hop course, "Get Groovy," and hosts "The Good Foot Podcast," highlighting the liberating philosophies of street and club dancers.
