In addition to being one of our fantastic judges for the PECAF at Utah Valley University, @alex.stopa will be giving a free class on his experiences with Cirque du Soleil, composing, arranging, and a career as a percussionist. Alex is an Emmy award winning drummer, percussionist, marimba soloist, and composer. The class will be held at the Noorda Center at UVU Music n room NC614 on Friday, March 6th from 4-6pm.
The @percussivearts Percussion Ensemble Competition & Festival is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop musical skills through performance and adjudicator feedback. At UVU, we are proud to announce that we will be hosting PECAF on Saturday, March 7, 2026. With adjudicators Abby Fisher and Alex Stopa @alex.stopa , we’re looking forward to a day full of nothing but music!
