Congratulations to all of the Utah Crew athletes who competed at the Covered Bridge Regatta this past weekend! Despite some crazy turns of weather, difficult event classes, and no home water to practice on, all athletes gave it their all and put down some great performances.
Special shoutout to El, Max, Roman, Evie, Kat, Maya, and Rosie for bringing home some hardware.

Utah sent eight youth athletes to Boston for the Head of the Charles last weekend, marking a first appearance for the team since 2019, and a first appearance for all eight athletes! Many thanks to @terrierwrow and @wintech_racing for getting us the equipment we needed to get down the course.
Our Women’s Youth 1x, Men’s Youth 2x, and Women’s Youth 4x+ all had an incredible weekend and an unforgettable trip down the Charles River. With lessons learned and hard work rewarded, we’re excited to return to Boston next fall! For now, preparations are underway for the San Diego Fall Classic in November.

Meet our coach!! Tori Rojo comes to Utah Crew after coaching and rowing in the Boston area since 2016. Originally from Connecticut, she learned to row in 2011 with Greenwich Crew. Tori went on to row at Northeastern University as a walk on. After reconstructive shoulder surgery in 2017 she took a break from rowing, and fell later back in love with the sport by racing with Gentle Giant Rowing and Riverside Boat Club. As a member of Riverside’s Women’s Sweeps team for the past three years she has secured three medals in the Head of the Charles Club 8+ and also had the opportunity to represent the club in the Varsity 8+ at the 2024 Royal Henley Regatta. She has coached youth teams at the Winsor School as well as Riverside Boat Club, and is excited to continue her coaching journey in Salt Lake City. Tori’s coaching background also extends to the world of equestrian sports and rock climbing, all with an emphasis on biomechanics for performance and injury prevention. In the winter, Tori is a dual certified ski and snowboard instructor at Snowbird, working with all age groups to combine technical learning with a love of sport. On her off days she can be found outside- running, cycling, hiking, or otherwise enjoying nature. We’re so excited to have Coach Tori for this upcoming season!!

Nationals 2025 is one to remember! We’re proud of our Women’s Youth 4x in their 5th place finish and our Women’s U17 1x in her 14th place finish. Way to go girls! This was a great way to end the season for our women’s 4x who will all be heading off to college this fall! We wouldn’t have been there without our coaches or parents so big thanks to them. Go Utah Crew!
