LUCKY completes the U.S. Open Offshore race from the Caribbean to Newport 🏆⛵️   Organized by US Sailing, the U.S. Open Offshore was created to elevate offshore racing in the United States. Saint Barth Yacht Club and New York Yacht Club provided logistical support as the start and finish clubs, respectively.   The inaugural edition successfully ran from St. Barth’s to Newport, RI with LUCKY competing, and helping to establish this proof-of-concept for a future high‑profile offshore events in and around the US. The race was approximately 1,600 nautical miles. Owner / Skipper Bryon Ehrhart and 18 crew members finished the race in 4 days, 13 hours and 55 minutes. The crew laid down some big mile days and faced some bumpy conditions in the Gulf Stream.    This event lays the foundation for a bright offshore future in the United States. Please keep an eye peeled for a future event schedule connecting great sailing locations around the Americas.    The trophy was designed and crafted by Moore Brothers in Bristol, Rhode Island 🏆

Bob Hodges is your 2026 U.S. Multihull Champion 🏆 With expert consistency, Hodges captured the championship with a race to spare. He was dominant throughout the series, with only two of 11 scores outside the top three. It was a close race for second, with two through five separated by only six points going into the final races. Gareth Ferguson triumphed, taking second over Bill Swanson. Over four days of races, competitors in the Weta Trimaran saw a mixed bag of conditions, from light and sunny to dark and stormy. Outside of the battle on the water, competitors had a ton of fun with events on shore organized by @columbiasailingclub 🎉 Top 5 🥇 Bob Hodges 🥈Gareth Ferguson 🥉 Bill Swanson 4️⃣ Alan Taylor 5️⃣Chuck Carroll 📸: @lamoneyshots

Day three of the U.S. Multihull Championship brought everything - shifty breeze, building pressure, and plenty of adrenaline on Lake Murray. 16 Wetas hit the course after a wind delay, and it didn’t take long for the action to heat up:
💥Bob Hodges dominated Race 6 with a massive lead
💥Race 7 delivered gusts into the 20s, capsizes, and flying finishes
💥Gareth Ferguson took the win in the final race after a tight battle up front As the breeze built and shifted, so did the leaderboard, setting up a high-stakes final day where throwouts could decide it all. Top 3 going into Sunday:
1️⃣ Bob Hodges
2️⃣ Gareth Ferguson
3️⃣ Bill Swanson 📸: @lamoneyshots
