The Route 66 Centennial Run for ALS, started by Enric Casacuberta, is more than a journey—it’s a mission to raise funds for ALS research, increase public awareness, and support those facing treatment and recovery costs.
Beginning in late August 2026 and continuing through January 2027, Eric’s 150-day journey will cover all 2,448 miles of Route 66.

May 5, 2026 is a historic day for the Mother Road—the United States Postal Service will unveil the official Route 66 Centennial commemorative stamp in Phoenix, Arizona.
The stamp pane features photography by David J. Schwartz, who will be speaking at the ceremony.

OKLAHOMA — Stay Golden Tulsa
There’s a moment just before sunrise where everything holds still.
The skyline sits in silhouette.
The road is quiet.
And signs come alive.
I stood here in Tulsa waiting for that exact moment—the sky just beginning to turn golden, the city still in shadow, and the Oil Capitol Motel sign glowing into the day.
Nothing rushed. Nothing forced.
Just being there, letting it happen.
This photograph is part of the USPS Route 66 Centennial stamp series.
Tomorrow, May 5, is the First Day of Issue in Phoenix, Arizona—and I’ll be there speaking as part of the ceremony.
