Insightful week for DFC students ✨ Last week, students from the USI Master in Digital Fashion Communication explored three different yet deeply connected realities of the fashion and design industry: discovering how innovation, craftsmanship, and communication shape today’s fashion landscape. 🛋️ At BertO Showroom, students explored the relationship between design, textiles, and perception, reflecting on how fabrics influence both physical and digital experiences. @bertosalotti 🧵 At @tessituraenricosironi , they discovered the heritage and precision behind Italian textile manufacturing, while hearing from USI alumna @olga_srn about the evolution of a sixth-generation family business. 👜 The week concluded at the @coccinelleofficial showroom in Milan, where students gained insights into brand strategy, communication, and customer experience across multiple touchpoints. Experiencing such different realities allowed students to better understand the many perspectives, processes, and roles that shape today’s fashion industry. #USI #DigitalFashionCommunication #FashionCommunication #FashionIndustry #MadeInItaly LuxuryFashion FashionEducation

❄️ Proud to share MONCLER FIT EXPERIENCE, a project developed by Beatrice Albonico, a first-year student, within the Digital Fashion Communication course as part of the Call-for-Needs by Moncler. ✨ The idea rethinks the traditional showroom by creating a hybrid physical digital space where garments worn on a real model are instantly shown on hyper realistic avatars displayed on a screen, allowing buyers to explore different body types ethnicities and genders in real time and build looks through interactive tools The goal is to make the selection process more inclusive efficient and data driven by improving decision making and reducing waste. The project was selected as a finalist, and while a winning idea was chosen, it brings together the strongest insights from all finalists and will continue to be developed as a team, with each contributor focusing on a specific area. A great experience and an exciting step forward into the future of retail! @beatricealbonico 👏🏻🩵 @moncler #moncler #DFC #studentsexperience #innovation #digital

Congratulations to DFC alumna Jasmin Shirley, whose master’s thesis was turned into an academic article, co-authored with Ksenia Silchenko, and published in Advertising & Society Quarterly (ASQ)! 👏 ASQ is published by the ANA Educational Foundation (AEF) and distributed online with open access by Project MUSE. 🤖 The article looked to answer the question, “Does AI reinforce or challenge gender stereotypes in fashion campaigns?” Link to the full article in Instagram Stories! #AIFashion #fashionresearch #masterthesis

What will the showroom of the future look like? At the SUPSI Startup Garage, our students engaged with Elena Triarico (Moncler) to explore how fashion showrooms are evolving. From product display spaces to relational, data-driven and experiential environments, Showroom 3.0 is redefining the way brands connect with buyers. Through a collaborative exercise, students reflected on key drivers of today’s experience — from human touch and personalization to immersive design. An inspiring exchange between academia and industry, shaping new perspectives on the future of fashion retail. The next step? Developing new ideas, with the opportunity to take part in a series of meetings and visits in Silicon Valley. #digitalfashion #fashionshowroom #omnichannel #usi

A slightly delayed post, as the past weeks have been dedicated to completing exams and starting our internships. Now that things have settled, we can finally share one of the final moments of the semester. Before its official end, the DFC class concluded the study tour with a visit to the Musée d’Histoire Sociale. The highlight of the visit was the exhibition dedicated to Charles Frederick Worth, celebrating his major contribution to the birth of haute couture and his role in establishing Paris as the world’s leading fashion capital. Through archival garments, documents, and visual materials, the exhibition highlighted Worth’s lasting impact on the fashion system and on the structure of modern fashion houses, a meaningful way to close the semester. #fashioncommunication #parissorbonne #digitalfashion #masterprogram #socialhistory
