Early in his career, Bill Lombardo, CEO @monin_usa , was perceived as an outlier and a boundary-pusher.
That perception set him on a course to introduce ground-breaking expansions and innovations in America's grocery aisles, restaurants and the foodservice supplier space that are still in place today.
“Understand who you are — what your strength is,” said Lombardo. “Someone recognized that I’m a guy who likes to bend the rules.”
Lombardo was the featured guest at the April 23 Conversation with a CEO event presented by @usffcu and hosted by @usfmuma at The Tampa Club.

Congrats to the #USF team for taking first place in a national supply chain case competition! 🏆
Supply chain management majors Andy Nguyen, Charlotte Dotson, Juliana Escudero Galvanini and Collin Gourley brought home the win at @intermodal_org 's Academic Challenge, held April 9-10 at the University of North Florida.
The competition is designed to mirror the speed and pressure of real-world logistics decision-making and the case was based on current trends in the supply chain industry.
The team represented the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability @usfmuma . 🎉🚆

Last Friday, we celebrated the 2026 @usfmuma 25 Under 25 Award recipients @buschgardens . 🏆 🦒 This year's awards, presented by @bankoftampa , marked the 16th anniversary of the awards program. And we received a record number of applications (256!).
Each of our honorees demonstrates excellence in academics, leadership, professional development, and community service.
Special thanks to Scott Gault and Frank Territo from The Bank of Tampa, who served as judges and shared remarks at the awards ceremony. 🤘
