Students from the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing gathered in the Marshall Student Center’s Oval Theater Friday for the college’s induction ceremonies that recognized their transition into the engineering and computer science professions.
Faculty from USF’s Bellini College joined international researchers, clinicians and industry leaders this week for the 2026 B2AI Voice Symposium — one of the premier global events focused on voice AI in healthcare. Assistant Professor John Templeton participated in a panel on emerging AI technologies and voice models shaping the future of healthcare innovation, while Assistant Professor of Instruction Karni Chagal-Feferkorn contributed to discussions on trust, regulation and real-world deployment challenges in voice AI.
A USF cybersecurity graduate and founder of Bulls Boxing, Yeran Gamage applies the balance of offense and defense from the ring to real‑world AI and cloud security. Now heading to Wells Fargo as a cloud security engineer, he’s already uncovering vulnerabilities in open‑source AI tools and building protections at scale. We had the pleasure of attending the 2026 E‑Council Engineering Banquet, which highlighted just how far our chapter has come this year. Our chapter walked away with three awards: “Highest Community Impact”, “Best Social Media Engagement”, and the “Photograph Award”, a huge recognition of the work our members put in throughout the year. In fact, that was the highest number of awards a single student organization could have received that night!
None of this would have been possible without the support of our community. Thank you to everyone who comes to our events, to everyone who voted for us, and to our 2025-2026 E‑Board members for constantly showing up and pushing our chapter forward!
