Mid-week Check! See how our USF DR Immersion students are doing! Today they’re making dolls with Muñecas Negras, a woman’s initiative in the Dominican Republic, empowering Black women and girls from bateys in the Dominican Republic. This initiative combines art, music, poetry and more to tell stories-resisting oppression and affirming dignity for Dominicans of Haitian descent.
