A certificate might get you in the door, but evidence is what keeps you in the room. We recently hosted the Jesi Cohort 3 Employability Summit, a defining milestone for our scholars as they complete six months of intensive training. To guide this transition, Michael Opare, Director of Partnerships & Business Development at Node Eight, led a high-impact session on the theme, “From Learning to Leading: Launching Cohort 3 into the Digital Economy.” He challenged our scholars to look beyond traditional credentials, reminding them that in a competitive market, "evidence beats certificates every single time." Michael introduced the strategy of "Staying Liquid"—encouraging everyone to become T-shaped professionals who are broad enough to navigate the entire industry but deep enough to be technical experts. He also emphasised that success isn't just about finding a mentor; it’s about finding a "Champion" in the room, which is earned through a relentless work ethic and always leading with value. As he powerfully noted, “You don’t need a job title to communicate value; you need projects that prove your impact.” At #Jesi, our mission is to nurture digital talents for a future of opportunities in the dynamic tech industry, where they can thrive and achieve remarkable success. What is one piece of "evidence" (a project, a side hustle, or a gig) that helped you land your first big opportunity in tech? #JesiScholarship #NodeEight #DigitalEconomy #CareerGrowth #YoungAndSafe #FutureOfWork

Getting the technical skills down is the first step. But figuring out how to actually navigate the job market? That’s where the real game begins. After six months of locking in on Software Development, Digital Marketing, Product Design, and Data Analysis, our Jesi Cohort 3 scholars are ready for the big leap into the world of work. We’re bringing in Michael Opare (Director of Partnerships & Business Development at Node Eight) for this year’s Employability Summit. He’s going to be sharing the real-world insights it takes to turn all that learning into a leadership career. 📅 Date: Monday, 16th March 2026 🕘 Time: 9:00 AM 📍 Venue: Node Eight ✨ Theme: From Learning to Leading The future of the digital economy belongs to those who show up prepared. Cohort 3 has put in the work—now, they’re ready to lead. #NodeEight #YoungAndSafe #JesiScholarship #careerlaunch Young and Safe Ho Love Aid Foundation Fondation Botnar Ecorys UK USE JESI

At Jesi, we believe great design isn’t just about how things look, it’s about how they work for people. Last week, all four learning pathways of Jesi Cohort 3 joined their first mentorship session on Design Thinking — a creative, human-centered approach to solving real-world problems. Led by Xorse Senanu, Product & Innovation Manager at Node Eight, scholars explored the five stages of design thinking (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test) and learned one powerful lesson: “Don’t open Figma or write a single line of code until you’ve spoken to your users.” Our scholars discovered that empathy is what sets great design apart. It’s why some brands fade, while others thrive, and why anyone can design when they listen, observe, and create with purpose. There’s no perfect product, Xorse noted. People’s needs evolve, and so should your designs. At Jesi, we nurture creative thinkers and problem-solvers who design for impact and shape the future. #MyJourneyWithJesi #YoungAndSafe #DesignThinking

"They should continue to onboard all teachers into it." That is what Patience, a Career & Technology teacher at Pantang MA, said after she first explored Jesi AI, she had only basic knowledge about artificial intelligence. But what she discovered changed her perspective completely. "With this Jesi platform, I think it's going to be very good and useful for teachers and students," she shared after our Jesi AI4T Workshop. Her enthusiasm wasn't just about the technology but it was about seeing a tool that would make lesson planning easier, assessments smarter, and the big impact it would have in classrooms across Ghana. If you're a teacher wondering whether AI can truly support your work in the classroom, let Patience's experience inspire you. Jesi AI is built for educators like you — designed to make teaching more effective and learning more engaging. Ready to explore what's possible? Hey Jesi AI Family! 👋 We know some of you are experiencing issues creating accounts or using the platform right now. This is due to a temporary issue with our third-party service providers. Our team is working closely with them to get everything back up ASAP, and we will alert you once it is resolved. Thanks for your patience—we truly appreciate you! ❤️

During our practical session led by Brian Dzansi and Michael Opare, our teachers explored Jesi AI and generated full lesson plans during a live demo based on subjects, sub-strands, and core competencies, all aligned with Ghana’s curriculum. They got to experience how smart, simple, and powerful Jesi AI can be in the classroom "Jesi Ai will give us soft life" - Madam Aku Davordzi, head teacher of Kwamang Presby, a participant of the AI4T, said as she expressed her excitement. “We’re not just building tech, we’re building with teachers and all stakeholders. Together, we’re making teaching easier and improving learning outcomes for Ghanaian students.” - Brian Dzansi, Founder #JesiAI #EdTech #AI4T #SHS #JHS #Teachers #GES @nodeeight @jangalawifi @geshomunicipal @aiforgood @use_jesi @mtnghana @microsoftadc @microsoft @openai @ttelghana

“A prompt is simply what you tell the AI to do — just like how you give instructions to a child,” - Ackon Asaase, Prompt Engineer, facilitator for our second session on prompt writing. He broke it down to four things every good prompt needs: clarity, specificity, context and action. When you write with all four, the AI model gets it and delivers exactly what you need. Our teachers didn’t just listen; they got hands-on, writing prompts of their own and seeing how small changes can lead to big improvements. #JesiAI #AI4T #EdTech #AI #PromptEngineering #SHS #JHS #Teachers #GES @nodeeight @jangalawifi @geshomunicipal @aiforgood @use_jesi @mtnghana @microsoftadc @microsoft @openai @ttelghana

“When you open YouTube and it suggests a video you might enjoy, or when your phone unlocks with your face — that’s AI quietly working in the background,” Brian Dzansi, our Founder and lead facilitator, for our first session on understanding AI. He touched on some real applications of AI in industries like self-driving cars in transport, drug discovery in health, and fraud detection in fintech” He reminded our teachers that Jesi AI is built with teachers in mind — not to take their place, but to lighten their load, simplify lesson planning, and make learning more personalised and effective for every student. #JesiAI #EdTech #AI4T #SHS #JHS #Teachers #GES @nodeeight @jangalawifi @geshomunicipal @aiforgood @use_jesi @mtnghana @microsoftadc @microsoft @openai @ttelghana
