Kids marvel over the simplest and smallest magic tricks.
It's kind of ironic because they already live with monsters under their beds and fairies in their rooms. How can I possibly match that with a simple little card trick?
Thing is, when presented right, anything can seem like magic to anyone. It's not about what you're saying/doing, it's how you're doing it that matters most.
I knew it would be a challenge here to match the level of wonder these kids probably experience at all times. I had to figure out tricks they could understand, let alone react to. The challenge was thrilling for me and, well, clearly for them too.
I love performing magic tricks for kids, but it's so different. As adults, we've become disillusioned to the complexities of life and relationships and money and superficiality. In a way, our magical perceptions have gone away, at least partially.
But all kids are innately curious and imaginative. Their worlds are completely different than ours because their minds are untouched by limits or doubt. They see magic in the mundane. They exist in a world of endless possibilities, one that we adults have forgotten how to see.
My ultimate goal as a magician...
Is to bring you all back into that world.
