Today, we honor Rosa Parks, whose brave refusal to give up her seat sparked a movement for justice and equality. Her courage reminds us that one act of resistance can change the course of history. #RosaParksDay #KeepHerLegacyAlive

Students, faculty, staff and community members enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at the first-of-its-kind Black History Month Block Party at the @uscedu Health Sciences Campus. With planning led by #USCMann students including Michelle Kalu, PharmD β€˜22 and Atham Ali, the event received support from the @keckschoolusc Office of Diversity and Inclusion, @uscmann_osw , @uscbps , @uscchanosot , @uscmannscdei , @uscgsg and more. β€œHealth programs at the USC Health Sciences Campus are coming together, not only to celebrate Black and Pan-African culture, but also to show their physical support of the Black and Pan-African communities,” Kalu said. Check out our link in bio to read more about the Block Party!

Last Thursday the Black Pharmacy Society had their first event of the academic year: Pharmily Dinner. The group got to meet their student liaisons, hear from our new faculty member and alum Dr. Jermey Dow, as well as participate in a Q&A session with guest speaker Dr. Tamisha Vaughn. It was a great night full of networking and building community across all programs of USC Mann! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” USC Black Pharmacy Society (BPS) is an affinity group that supports students, faculty, and staff across the African diaspora, including, but not limited to members who identify as Black, African-American, or Pan-African.
