Trojan Alumni Spotlight From serving on the front lines as a U.S. Army combat medic to shaping the future of immersive training David Cobbins MFA '13 has built a career rooted in service, creativity, and leadership. After earning his master’s in Writing for Film & Television from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, he now serves as a creative producer at USC’s Institute for Creative Technologies. As project leader for ELITE (Emerging Leader Immersive Training Environment), Cobbins is helping redefine how people learn real-world skills. Through interactive virtual scenarios, AI-driven role-players, and real-time feedback, ELITE empowers users to grow as leaders in dynamic, high-stakes environments.
