In Memory of Greg
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Greg, who passed away peacefully while in hospice care on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Greg was a valued part of the powerlifting community and someone who consistently showed up for others with generosity, encouragement, and kindness. Whether through competition, mentorship, volunteering, or simply being present for those around him, Greg made a lasting impact on countless lives across USA Powerlifting and beyond.
Throughout his illness, Greg and his family chose to keep much of their journey private. We ask that this continued privacy be respected as his loved ones grieve and support one another during this difficult time.
His family shared their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and compassion they have received throughout the past months. The support from friends, athletes, officials, and the broader strength community meant more than words can express.
Greg was deeply loved, and his presence within the sport and the lives of those around him will not be forgotten. The impact he made reached far beyond the platform.
We extend our deepest condolences to Greg’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thank you for keeping Greg and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

From platform to referee chair, Kansas Co-State Chair Misti Elliott brings experience, passion, and a lifter-first mindset to USA Powerlifting Kansas. 💪
Since joining USAPL in 2019, Misti has competed on some of the sport’s biggest stages — including the Arnold and National Championships — earning the 2023 Masters 1 -100kg Female National Bench Press title along the way. She became a State Referee in 2021 and a National Referee in 2023, helping grow the sport through quality officiating and member support at every level.
Misti stepped into the Co-State Chair role with a vision for fresh ideas, stronger meet experiences, and continued growth for Kansas lifters. She’s passionate about listening to members, mentoring future referees, and expanding opportunities for female masters raw powerlifting athletes across the state.
