Humphreys community members participated in a two-day blood drive April 29-30, 2026, at Camp Humphreys, hosted by the Armed Services Blood Bank Center Okinawa, 95th Medical Detachment–Blood Support, American Red Cross, and 3-2 Aviation Regiment.
The effort helps maintain a steady blood supply for medical treatment facilities and military exercises across the Indo-Pacific, directly supporting readiness and saving lives.

Yesterday, firefighters from U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Directorate of Emergency Services and Soldiers from 2nd Infantry Division rowed their hearts out at Asan city's 65th annual Great Admiral Yi Sun-sin Festival at Gokgyo stream in Asan.
Our garrison firefighters took 2nd overall in the rowing competition, which consisted of 48 teams from around Korea. This was the third iteration of the rowing portion of the festival.
The annual festival celebrates Korea's greatest naval commander, who defeated Japanese forces in a momentous naval battle in 1598.

From explosive 11x 10-meter sprints and max-effort chin-ups to a 1,000-meter run, 100-meter swim, a 7-mile ruck march, and M17 pistol marksmanship, every event pushes participants to their limits.
The GAFPB represents more than fitness. It reflects discipline, resilience, and the warrior ethos shared among allied forces.

USAG Humphreys ACS hosted its annual Volunteer of the Year Awards Ceremony at the Morning Calm Center, yesterday, to express gratitude to the garrison's 1,200 volunteers who logged more than 80,000 hours in 2025.
"Your selfless acts, big and small, create a network of support that is the bedrock of our community," said Col. Kristen Steinbrecher, commander, U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys.
The estimated value of their combined volunteer hours was $2,787,253, which was presented via a symbolic check by USAG Humphreys Family and MWR's Director Chris Bradford to garrison leadership.
Every day our volunteers' selfless service and dedication significantly contributes to improving the morale and welfare of the garrison community.
