On December 31, 2025, Section 181 of the tax code expired. The only federal incentive built to keep film and television production on American soil. Congress let it die. Meanwhile the UK offers up to 34 percent. Canada stacks to 70. Hungary, Ireland, Australia, the list runs long, and every country on it is spending real money to take American productions off American soil.
