With the new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) 2024/1275, the direction is clear, and the timeline is set: 🔹 By 2030, all non-residential buildings must perform better than the worst-performing 16% of the 2020 building stock 🔹 By 2033, that threshold expands to the worst-performing 26% 🔹 For residential buildings, EU Member States must reduce average primary energy use by 16% by 2030, and up to 22% by 2040 🔹 All new public buildings must meet Zero Emission Building (ZEB) standards by 2028 - and all new buildings by 2030 🔹 A renewed A-to-G energy label will reflect these targets, introducing A0 and A+ for the highest-performing buildings 🔧 This isn’t just a vision.
