Getting kids off screens and into something meaningful can be a challenge for many families—but one couple in Upper Marlboro is working to change that.
Anthony and Ivie Okeregha have opened Kidz City, a new hands-on play and learning space designed to bring parents and children together. From interactive activities to creative play, the goal is simple: stimulate young minds while strengthening family connections.
And just in time for the holiday season, Kidz City is inviting the community to celebrate with a special Easter Egg Hunt, giving families a fun and engaging way to connect.
CTV News takes you inside the new space and shows how it’s helping kids stay active, curious, and connected—both on and off the screen.

Prince George’s County is expanding opportunities for second chances. A new Re-Entry Hub has opened, offering critical support to returning citizens as they transition back into the community.
From job training and housing assistance to mentorship and life skills, the hub is designed to help individuals rebuild their lives—one step at a time. County leaders say the initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce recidivism, strengthen families, and create safer, more connected communities.
CTV News takes you inside the new facility and speaks with officials and participants about how this program is making a real difference.

According to the CDC, 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with autism — but for many families, getting help isn’t always easy.
In Prince George’s County, local leaders are stepping in. County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha have launched the Early Connections campaign, aimed at connecting families with critical autism resources earlier.
Through partnerships with local libraries, the county is hosting in-person sessions designed specifically for children ages 5 and under — a key window for early diagnosis and intervention.
Doctors say early diagnosis can significantly improve long-term outcomes. But too often, children aren’t identified until they enter school, delaying access to the support they need.
This new initiative hopes to close that gap — and ensure families get help when it matters most.
