In Spektrum / Raum, a creation by choreographer Måté Mészåros with Unusual Symptoms and video art collective
@urbanscreen_studio , the Kunsthalle Bremen became a stage for an interplay between bodies, space and light. Filmmaker Måté Bartha developed a new artistic work based on his observations of the dancers and their movements in dialogue with the museum's architecture. In his film, the camera often remains close, showing fragmented bodies, excerpts of rooms, shadows and light. The boundaries between inside and outside become blurred, and Urbanscreen's projections seem to detach the dancers from the space and lend the images of DOP
@nyoszoliakos an almost weightless, spherical-abstract quality â like snapshots from another universe. In this poetic state of limbo, the dancers rarely seem to truly encounter each other, their gazes hardly ever meeting. The music by
@aronporteleki â driving and fragile at the same time â follows their movements. Or does it precede them? Spektrum / Raum reflects on how spaces remember bodies and gestures echo in silence.
