What makes a zine? You would have an easier time answering what doesn't. Who makes a zine? Well, it could be you when you join UQMiMs, UQSoFA and Underground Theatre Company for a zine workshop!
Here, you'll be introduced to the basic ideas behind zine-making, alongside some discussion of the history behind this versatile medium and its punk subculture origins. From here, you'll be encouraged to craft, create and/or write your heart out.
Materials (and free pizza!) will be provided but feel free to bring your own photographs, text, drawings and whatever else your heart desires to realise your vision.

Meet at 2pm outside GOMA’s entrance before we embark to level 3 and see Archie Moore’s Golden Lion winning work ‘Kith and Kin’
From there we will explore a wide variety of shows at both QAG and GOMA. Works from Picasso, to German Expressionism to the newly refurbished International Collection plus so much more!!!

STOP MOTION DOUBLE BILL!
This week, in collaboration with UQSoFA, we’ll be doing a double screening focusing on the art of stop motion! At 6pm we’ll be watching Jiři Trnka’s ‘The Hand’ followed shortly by Irene and Władysław Starewicz’s ‘The Tale of the Fox’ at 6:20pm!
Prior to our screening we’ll be at Merlo from 5pm to chat all things art, cinema and more before we move to Steele Building 03-309 for our screening. Stop motion is an amazing art form and we can’t wait to explore it together - see you there!
