Uprooters! Join The Uproot Project and LVEJO on Wednesday, April 15th from 3-5 PM CT, for a Toxic Tour of the Little Village neighborhood in Chicago. This guided, roughly 75-minute tour highlights spaces in Little Villageāsuch as Semillias Community Garden and La Villita Farm and Parkāthat frame LVEJO's environmental justice work.
Later this year, Uproot members will reconnect with LVEJO members for a knowledge exchange about how community activists and environmental journalists can work together equitably to highlight climate stories and solutions from underrepresented communities.
