Got to go right a wrong (last time we had tickets to see @closureinmoscow I got laid off and stayed home crying about 8 years ago) and also once again see @therealtdh . The show was incredible and now we’re back home in Houston (the baby was absolutely so stoked to see us and I was so glad to see her sweet face, too!).
Everyday since I’ve known of her existence has been about her. She’s the star in my life and I’m so grateful that I get to be her mom. I know it sounds so mushy… but I’m allowed to be mushy sometimes, too!
Yesterday was wild. My best friend came back to Texas officially, I was fully booked and my last client of the day is my og client that had seen me since (sort of) day 1, the weather was great…
There’s a lot to be grateful for.
I didn’t have time to photograph the outfit last night and then the pics taken at the place were so unflattering I just can’t bring myself to post them. Anyways, I risked it all in skipping a bra for this dress (have done it before recently and ended up soaking wet in liquid gold). It was nothing a bandaid couldn’t prevent luckily since this is one of my investment piece dresses where it cost more than $10.
A dump of the day. Started by taking my big baby (noodle) to the new chewy vet center over in meyerland (super nice, definitely recommend). Killed a fly and Told Brian about it. Then I went to work and we spent most of the time sitting and then I drove home and I guess my 16 year old shoes gave up the ghost.
A dump of how my day went. Spent most of it on set (see also the cool, quick portrait sketch from @rogerpaulmason when I was under a table to avoid being in shot), getting home just in time to put Ella to bed, and then running up to the salon to organize and get tools clean for tomorrow..
I do have openings next week, but I book up fast so don’t wait, just come get your dream hair (and sometimes makeup if you catch me just right).
It’s been a super long time since this kind of thing has happened. I guess in the middle of the night my pump site turned on me. I tested the limit and gave insulin first and it never came down so when I woke up to feed Eloise I was trying to not ralph on my own baby. I changed my site at 730am and I am just now below 400 at 341 going down (it’s 10am). I don’t talk about these days enough. They suck, I feel awful, I’m exhausted, and I still am trying to fake it for Ella since a baby has no clue. This is an honesty thing not a sympathy thing. I hate a fake social media vibe and imma be real, diabetes has always been in my life and a large portion has been rough af, So don’t give sympathy sorrows, just a few “congrats on getting fixed before hospital!” Vibes or give me some of your health struggles bc I absolutely get it.
