A Most Unique Musical Evening The elegance of a Western Dressage routine by world champion WMS Hot August Knight GCH to the sounds of Memory from CATS will be just part of the magic audiences in W. Springfield, Massachusetts, and around the world (via ticketed Livestream) will enjoy April 22 at the UPHA Chapter 14 Symphony of Horses. Thirty-nine horses of various breeds and disciplines will perform to memorable music in a theatrical setting. Marsha Shepard and Bill Carrington put on the first Symphony event at Chapter 14 back in 1986 with the Springfield Symphony and a brilliant idea had been born. Chapter 14 has continued the tradition throughout the years and chose to bring back the event this year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Spring Premiere Horse Show. The last time it was held was 2007. Owned by Peggy Vitarius and presented by trainer, Cortney Scionti, WMS Hot August Knight GCH has been a consistent champion at New England Regional in addition to his Oklahoma titles. Throughout his 24 years, Reno and his partner Corney Scionti of Whispering Meadows, LLC, have demonstrated the beauty, athleticism, and versatility of the Morgan Horse while participating in Equine Affaire and HITS Parade of Horses. Whether giving the smallest child their first riding lesson or performing in the show ring, “Reno” continues to demonstrate the many wonders of the Morgan Horse. On April 22, the music and horse will be as one in this memorable repeat performance. Tickets for the event can be purchased at /Admissions/Default.aspx?GroupPromoCode=UPHA. A ticketed Livestream option is also available at /event-details/63271.

Bold and Graceful, Friesians Among the Equine Star power at UPHA 14’s Symphony of Horses Friday, April 22, UPHA Chapter 14 will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Spring Premiere Horse Show with the return of the highly acclaimed Symphony of Horses. Among the breeds showcased at the Eastern States Exposition Coliseum, W. Springfield, Massachusetts, will be three Friesians presented in different numbers in the program. Dan Dali Haber is driving the star-studded Wolfert 467 Sport for Brookside Friesians. In just their first two seasons in the show ring they’ve already enjoyed titles from Big E, Octoberfest, and the New Hampshire Nationals. This beautiful turnout will glisten in the theatrical lighting of the Symphony production. From Wentz Stables, Val Nuno and Oxalis Fane Tsjonger will join three American Saddlebreds from the Pennsylvania training operation representing the breed as a saddle seat performer. Kristen Dellacroce is the proud owner of this multi-titled champion who has represented the Friesian breed on some of the biggest stages, including Toronto Winter Fair’s Battle of the Breeds where he has scored top ribbons in large classes. Another of our trio to finish up his second season of showing last year, Alarik also took his shot at representing the storied breed when Travis Neidlinger of Lingering Hills was teamed with this athlete to finish Top 4 in the highly competitive Battle Of The Breeds at the Saugerties Summer Showcase. For Symphony night the Andrea Bloch-owned star will share the stage with three very special world class Morgans who happen to be stablemates. Tickets for the can obtained at /Admissions/Default.aspx?GroupPromoCode=UPHA
