🩸FlashForwards, Gallery Zaazrak Dornych, 15. 9. – 16. 10. 2022 ⚡⚡⚡ curated by @simonkadlcak FlashForwards are glimpses of the future, reversed déjà vu, series of lucid dreams from which the narrator remembers only the individual images, interconnected only by vague associations and recurring symbols. Juxtaposed these images then create the storyboard of an imaginary film describing an apparently not-too-distant future of a post-naturalistic dystopia. The contrasts of green and red are meaningfully mirrored in the coexistence of hyper-technological corporate neo-feudalism alongside non-automated socialist communities, just as in a world where there is no one but survivors, the inhabitants indulge in the antagonistic effects of the clear and void drugs depending on whether they need to work or immerse themselves in deep relaxation1. In agreement with the colors of the traffic light, one then means stagnation and the other progress. However, the toxic shades of both suggest that there is only a thin line between the positive GreenDeal turning into the negative GreenHeel, and a loss of balance more often than not means rolling over to the unwanted side. Doesn't this sound too familiar to be the future?
