UoN consoc runs conservation sessions every Wednesday during university term time! These sessions usually take place at 1:15pm and usually meet at Portland or the Djanogly terrace - however off campus trips may have different meeting points! There is free tea and biscuits at every session :) If you are new to the society or have any questions please dm us to find out more! :)

Peak District hiking group! We took on the Grindslow Knoll route which is a 10.8km hike around Edale, with an ascent of 381 metres and slope of up to 29%! 🌿 We all made it back in one piece, although a bit achey! Thank you to Hannah, our Trips and Social Secretary, for planning such a lovely trip! And thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely, memorable trip!

We're collabing with UoN Environmental Science Society to offer you a session focused on learning moth trapping techniques, with the opportunity to observe the moths caught overnight! The setting up of the traps will take place on the Friday at 6pm and observing the traps will be from 7am-10am before the garden session - there will be pastries, tea, and juices! The moth traps and humane and non-killing and help monitor moth populations 😊

Happy National Hedgehog Awareness Week! 🦔 In this Wilding Campuses activity, we’re conducting surveys to support our local hedgehogs on Wednesday the 6th and 13th of May! Once the results are in, they will help inform where we place the brilliant hedgehog houses, created by Architecture students, ahead of hibernation! 6th May (1:30-3pm): Placing hedgehog tunnels across campus to monitor activity 13th May (1:30-3pm): Collecting the results We’ll be meeting in the Millennium Gardens (what3words: ///start.rapid.soil) 🌟Everyone is welcome!🌟 📋Please register your interest using the link on our story! Last Wednesday our members had a fantastic time at BB Falconry Experiences. We were given the opportunity to fly owls, hawks, and falcons such as: - Tawny Owl - Siberian Eagle-Owl - Barn Owl - Australian Boobook - Harris Hawk - Eurasian Kestrel - Striated Caracara And more! Many thanks to Lisa and Ben for being so kind and knowledgeable about the birds, and for welcoming us to your family business.

ConSoc Ceilidh with Live Band "The Mouldy Men" @ludditefolksession to raise money for the Wildlife Trust! Friday 27th March in LG18 Trent Building. Doors open at 7pm - Walk-ins welcome but please sign up so we can gauge numbers! It is free admission but we encourage you to make a donation to the Wildlife Trust if you can!
