First Scholars is partnering with United Way of The Mid-South for Totes of Hope. The Totes of Hope Initiative is how United Way of the Mid-South supports local non-profits. This initiative brings organizations and communities together by collecting and donating items to meet the need in our community. This organization is Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministries. Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministries is a nonprofit which provides essential items such as diapers, formula, feminine supplies, and hygiene supplies to low-income families.

On March 23rd, the Office of First-Gen & the Department of Student Engagement hosted an interactive pilot program with a whimsical Wonderland-themed Etiquette Dinner. This enchanting evening not only taught essential dining etiquette but also provided a unique platform for students to connect with faculty, staff, and alumni in a relaxed, yet professional setting.
As part of the event, attendees navigated the intricacies of table manners while being encouraged to ask questions and not worry over mistakes. The event was created to foster a sense of community and offer formal practice, allowing students to build new networks and gain confidence in their professional interactions #gtg #etiquette #studentaffairs 📸 @brookelynnraee
