The project first began in Johannesburg in 2023, making this performance a special return to the city as part of their Healing Voices Africa Tour.
Expect an unforgettable evening of expansive sound, connection, and musical exploration.

Her bass & vocal performances at Jazz Café, EFG London Jazz Festival, Jazz Re Live and others — going from double to triple and quadruple bass alongside some of the UK’s finest players — have left audiences speechless. Her work within this field embraces these two beautiful elements — engaging with the myriad of possibilities within them as an offering.
Now she brings it to Untitled Basement this May, in a special, once-in-a-lifetime gathering of talent, joined by three distinctive bass voices from Southern Africa: Dalisu Ndlazi, (@dalisu_ndlazi ) TENDAII (@tendaii.__ ), and bleeee.t (@bleee.t )
Together, they meet Zola Marcelle in an immersive live configuration where bass becomes voice, foundation, and conversation — shifting between structure and improvisation, intimacy and expansion.
