On Saturday, we joined an unsettling national march with a million people in London to call for ceasefire now, and to end all forms of settler colonialism, occupation, and genocide. #FreePalestine #FreeCongo #FreeDarfur #FreeTigray #FreeKashmir #FreeManipur. Some pictures here.
The march was peaceful and the atmosphere one of solidarity amidst grief with people from diverse multiple backgrounds, faiths, classes, and all walks of life incl. Jewish people, Muslims, Black+white+Asian people, children, queers, trade unions etc.
Sadly with the support of our governments, Israel has still not stopped bombing Gaza and escalating violence in West Bank and even Jerusalem. In Gaza alone, over 11000 people have been murdered, hospitals, universities, blood banks, and ambulances bombed, children obliterated, forced displacement and ethnic cleansing happening while guising it as "humanitarian pauses", and civilians (including children) trying to move through so-called "safe corridors" been shot point blank by Israeli snipers. These are just a few of the horrors and war crimes we are seeing now in full view, who knows what else is hidden. And all for what? Money, greed, capitalism to maintain white supremacy and Western hegemony (which should be understood not just as a set of states or a place but rather also as a transcontinental moral project of the oppressor classes that continues to violently universalize itself).
So it is necessary for us to speak up and not let these utter horrors continue in our name or with our money and taxes. As unsettling witches, our magical powers are not about removing ourselves from this world but intervening in ways that lead to divestment from settler cultures including cultures of war and violence.

@bdsnationalcommittee , write MPs, speak up with your friends and family, on social media and in your workplace and trade unions and collectives, educate yourself and others. For how can we live with ourselves if we don't?
