If you’re a filmmaker with a story that can spark change, this is for you. 🎬 Hey, I’m Billy Price, and I’m thrilled to be teaming up with @justicefilmfestival to launch The Film Lab 2024 Fall Intensive. It’s completely free, thanks to our generous donors. If this sounds like the right fit for you, don’t wait. It takes just a few minutes to apply—no big grant process, just a simple form. Julijana participated in our first Artisans of Peace program. When you donate to the AoP Support Fund, you sustain peacebuilders like her! Julijana is a poet in Croatia working to heal the wounds of war. Though it is 30 years since the Yugoslav War ended, hate and distrust continue to divide the country. For Julijana, this is not peace. Military victory leads to celebration, and Vukovar became a city of war museums and memorials, with little place to grieve what all sides lose in war. Across the river, Julijana’s home city became a place of resistance and grassroots peace activism. To nurture that longing for peace, Juliana envisions “peace cafés”: art-filled places for forgiveness and imagining a future where trust and friendship take root again. But many choose to celebrate rather than heal so Julijana often feels isolated and alone. At unRival, she met other peacebuilders in a gathering space created just for them. She found community with those who share her desire for places to celebrate the human capacity to heal and forgive. The experience renewed her hope in the nonviolent struggle for justpeace. When you donate to the AoP Support Fund, 100% of your contribution goes toward sustaining peacebuilders. Follow the link in our bio to make a contribution. #peacebuilding #justpeace #nonviolence

Mark your calendars: the next unRival Spaces online event is set for March 27th at 3 pm Eastern Time! Follow the link in our bio to reserve your spot. We are pleased to have @rebeccadavis and @peteddavis join us for a conversation with our Creative Director, @williampriceiii , about their documentary, @joinordiefilm ! “Join or Die” is a film about why you should join a club — and why the fate of America may depend on it. The film explores questions like: What makes democracy work? Why is American democracy in crisis? And, most importantly…what can we do about it? Pete, author of acclaimed book “Dedicated,” and his sister Rebecca Davis, former senior producer with NBC News, are recipients of the 2024 unRival Award presented as part of our Film Lab. Pete, Rebecca, and Billy will discuss the making of the film, the hope they have for a world of true belonging and community, and how you can stay engaged in future unrivalrous films for positive change through the Film Lab. #filmmaking #documentary #justpeace
