This 911 ST has lived it all — Le Mans 24H, Nürburgring 1000kms, Tour de France Automobile. Purchased by Wicky Racing Team. It served as a rental car for many drivers such as : Sylvain Garant, Max Cohen-Olivar, Jean-Pierre Aeschlimann, Guy Verrier and even the Christine Dacremont/Brigitte Vincent crew. This car was entered 3 times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but it only participated once, in 1971 with the number #39. It also participated in the 1972 Nürburgring 1000kms, and twice in the Tour de France automobile (1971 and 1972). Last year, a complete restoration was undertaken by the new owner, who subsequently entered it in the Le Mans Classic 2025 @lemansclassic @peterauto and exhibited it at Megaphonics 25 @boxengasseco . @ecurie_classic @rems.cg @matthizi #Porsche #911ST #Wicky #WickyRacingTeam #LeMans24H #LM1970 #LM1971 #LM1972 #LeMans1970 #LeMans1971 #LeMans1972

What if an audacious vision became reality? That's exactly what Porsche achieved in 1975 when they transformed one of the most iconic racing machines in history, the Porsche 917, into a road-legal car. This unique model, the 917-030, was modified by the factory at the request of Count Gregorio Rossi di Montelera—the principal of the Martini & Rossi team—a great enthusiast and long-standing partner of the brand. With its legendary curves, racing chassis, and roaring 180° V12, this 917 unlike any other traded the pits for the open road, embodying the crazy dream of taking the track to the street. Facing it today, the 911 GT3 RS Manthey kit embodies the same visionary madness, in a radical and sharpened version designed to push the limits of grip and lap times. Two eras, one spirit: that of the extreme. #TimelessDesign #VintageCar #FlatSix #MotorsportHeritage #PorscheClassic #ClassicPorsche #992GT3RS #GT3RS #917 #MantheyRacing #GT3RSMR

No problem! Here’s the information about the Porsche 911 ST 1972: The Porsche 911 ST 1972 is a legendary race-bred version of the classic 911, renowned for its lightweight build and motorsport pedigree. ⚙️ Powered by a naturally aspirated flat-six engine, it produced up to 270 horsepower, depending on the racing setup. 🧰 With a weight of around 960 kg, it could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds, offering impressive agility and speed for its era. ⏱️ Designed for endurance events like the Targa Florio and Le Mans, the 911 ST featured flared fenders, wider wheels, and minimal interior trim for maximum performance. 🏁 Only a handful were built, making it one of the rarest and most coveted vintage Porsche race cars among collectors today. 🏆 Its blend of raw power, mechanical purity, and racing history continues to captivate enthusiasts around the world. 🌍 #Porsche911ST #911ST #ClassicPorsche #PorscheClassic #VintageCar #CarPhotography #BlackAndWhite #BWPhotography #MonochromeCars #RetroVibes #UrbanEdge #PeripheryVibes #CountrysideCruise #ScenicStop #TimelessDesign #RaceDNA #FlatSix #MotorsportHeritage #CollectorsGem #AutoIcon

Present at Rétromobile 2025 for the opening. A large crowd from the very beginning, but also some very beautiful cars on display in excellent condition. On the Porsche side, a select selection: several 2.7 RS, a 911 ST, a McLaren F1, and a few Ferrari F40s. The atmosphere among the stands is always special, between meticulous restoration and original patina. A few non-Porsche rarities were also encountered, but it was around Zuffenhausen that I spent the most time.

This Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 is a factory racing car built in 1974. It was delivered new to Swiss driver Edy Brandenberger, who entered it with his Scuderia Basilea team. This RSR competed in numerous European races between 1974 and 1977. Among its notable results, it finished 8th in the 1974 6 Hours of Monza, driven by Edy Brandenberger and Harry Blumer. It also scored several Group 5 victories in 1976, including at Dijon, Monza, and Misano, again with Brandenberger at the wheel. Today, this chassis is still active in historic racing. It has been seen several times at the Tour Auto, where it has been entered several times in Competition in recent editions. #TourAuto #TA2024 by @peterauto

I went in Paris on Sunday for the preparation day for the 2025 edition of the Tour Auto. Cars arrived throughout the day, teams were getting set up, and some were still working on their cars. The atmosphere was calm and focused, with almost no spectators. Among the models present: a very low and compact Porsche 906, one of the very first 911 STs to have participated in the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally, and a slightly wider 2.8 RSR. #TourAuto #TA2025 by @peterauto

A day of preparations before the start. The cars arrive in dribs and drabs, and the paddock slowly fills. The atmosphere is calm and studious. Nothing has been done yet, but they're all ready to go. Among the cars present: a blood orange 2.7 RS Lightweight, a 911 ST sitting on its Fuchs/Minilight wheels, a 2.8 RSR that dreams of leaving 50 years after having participated, a 3.0 RSR with an imposing look, two 2.4 S more sharp than sober, and a 550A Spyder almost fragile in the middle of them all. Familiar lines, each with its own presence, aligned as if before a concert. #TourAuto #TA2025 by @peterauto

I think I've always preferred the back view... (of the car) This post is for the various 911 STs I've come across, hopefully in a while I will be able to drive one and race it at the Le Mans Classic (not 2025, but maybe 2027?) This post is the last one of 2024, but also the last one with my current camera, the Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ82. In a few weeks, I will receive my next camera, the Sony Alpha 6400! Be ready for that 😉 #Porsche #911ST #72ST #70ST #911SRennen #LeMans #Nurburgring #LeMansClassic #PeterAuto #TourAuto #AreTheyOriginal?
