what an absolute journey it was to make this behemoth! approximately a month of planning and work between three sets of hands with all different skills (puppet and mascot structure, foamwork, fur, fabric cutting and sewing, and dozens of hot glue sticks), but what a beautiful boy we made.
the puppet design and performance pulled inspiration from traditional Southern Chinese lion dance and dragon dance, the Inmeongyo puppet of the 2018 Winter Olympics, the incredible mega designs of @totoroshow , and of course, @avatarlegends

foam wings were original work by @matti_arti and @daniele.creations , repainted for a fresh look! I truly hope to bring Wan Shi Tong out again soon, but for now he sleeps nested near the ceiling of my studio 🦉
