Seaweed in Sioux
How do I as a Dakota see these lands and these beings. Ive always wanted draw plants and animals that arent from Sioux traditional territories in sioux style. also really interesting trying to translate seaweed, rockweed and the ocean into Dakota, above is two different ways to see seaweed and the third one is how I translated rockweed 🌊🪸

what does it mean to be a man. to draw a man. to raise a man.
Ive always drawn feminine people or when the are masculine it is from a different way then this. usually very sapphic, that good ndn woman man-ness, to be honest some of my best men in my life are native woman.
this drawing brought a lot to my mind about gender envy, wishes of being born different, I am very happy with my body and both my spirits and my masculinity but there are still times of longing for being a man, having a different body or understanding what it is to be a man. it was also hella interesting how much people reacted to this piece, seeing themselves or someone else, I dont usually have that same reaction when I draw humans.
