Self-Love & Affirmations â Part Two
Earlier today I shared Part One from the
đ§ Self-Love Is A Practice podcast series â
specifically the episode on Self-Love & Affirmations
(available on all platforms).
By now, I hope youâve written out the alphabet of your life
and youâre ready to take this practice to another level.
Hereâs my truth.
I was raised to be modest. Polite. Gracious.
Patting yourself on the back was considered⌠undignified.
That was then.
This is now.
⨠Believe your own hype.
Because if you donât believe it, no one else will.
Try this:
Seven days.
Listening to your own affirmations
spoken in your own voice.
Let the words move past the mind
and rewrite themselves in your cells.
This is how the story changes â from the inside out.
I wish you a beautiful weekend
(if you celebrate a conventional one).
And if you feel called to go deeper:

Peace. And so it is.
The Power of Intentionality
On the first night of our #UltimateGirlsTrip, we invited our glamorous guests to embody fierceness in their black attire.
Because letâs be realâyou can never own too many black dresses. My signature evening look? Always black. From my early days in NYCâs legendary club scene of the â80sâthink #AndyWarhol, #AREA (yes, Iâm dating myself, and owning it)âto now, black has been my go-to.
This little number? One of my all-time favorites, acquired in Southeast Asia over a decade ago. Itâs the epitome of less is more. Paired with my **Ferragamo mesh boots, rhinestone heels catching the light just rightâ**I feel unstoppable.
Years ago, a dear friend pointed out, âWhenever you wear a red dress, you step into a whole new persona.â I hadnât realized itâuntil she said it.
How you dress should be a reflection of who you are and how you FEEL in that moment.
This is why beauty is an inside job.
Weâve all seen itâpeople who look fabulous, yet their energy barely scratches the surface. The difference between someone who is simply well-put-together and someone who owns the room? Itâs in what canât be seenâitâs felt.
Confidence is the gateway to Self-Love.
And so it is. â¨

Travel often? Donât let your wellness routine be the first thing that slips.
When youâre consistent with giving your body the nutrients it needs, you feel it - better energy, stronger immunity, better digestion, and simply feeling more like yourself.
And when youâre not? Your body feels that too.
Thatâs why our Sea Moss Capsules are such an easy essential to keep with you. Same sea moss benefits, just in a convenient form - so taking care of yourself stays simple, wherever life takes you.
Some rooms donât just invite you in.
They require you to be there.
Day One of the Disruptive Leadership Conference in Miami was exactly that.
I arrived uber excited, humbled, honoredâall of it.
Because for much of my corporate leadership life, I sat in rooms where most people did not look like me, sound like me, move like me, or understand the cultural codes I carried.
Programming gave rise to conformity.
But now?
Leadership today demands something different.
Disruption is the new name of the game.
The rules? Shatter, scatter, adapt.
One of my guiding mantras was at the fore of yesterday:
âQuestion everything, especially our beliefs.â
I was challenged, confronted, inspired, and deeply moved.
One question stayed with me:
What behooves me to lead?
For me, that becomes:
What archetype of leadership lives within me?
What histories, wounds, gifts, and wisdom inform her?
Day One was phenomenal.
Big respect to every presenter, to Dr. Terri Karelle-Johnson for holding the room with such brilliance and grace, and especially to Judy McCutcheon for staying faithful to a vision bigger than herself.
That kind of commitment takes courage.
And maybe a little bit of holy madness too.
Today I step onto the panel.
Present.
Grounded.
Disrupted.
And ready.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved to dance.
And a boy who loved music.
Life carried them separate and apart â through different journeys, different rhythms, different dreams.
Until one dayâŚ
those passions collided again.
And from that reunion, something beautiful was born:

Blessed EarthStrong đ â¤ď¸đđ
Too often we hear about intergenerational trauma and intergenerational curses.
But we do not speak enough about intergenerational blessings.
Today is my cousin Jasonâs Earthstrong, and during my meditation this morning, I found myself reflecting on the women who planted the seeds long before either of us arrived here.
His grandmother and my grandmother were sisters and best friends. They moved to New York together and became part of the architecture of our family story â laying foundations neither of them could possibly have imagined.
His mother and my mother â both only children â then grew up not merely as cousins, but as sisters and best friends themselves.
And then came Jason and me.
His mother, my beloved Aunt Joyce â who was also my godmother â meant the world to me. In fact, Jason came into this world because Aunt Joyce deeply wanted a little girl. And what many may not know is that for years Iâve always said that if I were ever to mother a child, I would want a son and I would name him Jason.
So to say that we are blessings to one another feels far too small for what this truly is.
Jason comes the closest I will probably ever know to what siblinghood means.
Yes, we bicker.
Yes, we drive each other crazy.
Yes, we disagree.
But we have each otherâs backs, fronts, sides, and center â unconditionally.
And today, publicly, I want to thank him.
For the support, the patience, the laughter, the protection, the pushing, the presence.
Truthfully, had I not had Jason beside me these past several years, I may not even have been able to create this post today.
So to my baby cousin â who simultaneously tests my patience and demands that I rise into the fullest expression of myself:
Big up yuhself.
Happy Earthstrong.
You are deeply loved.
And truly worthy.

Well-being is not a soft conversation. It is strategy.
This panel will explore how organizations can treat mental health, burnout, and balance as real leadership priorities, not afterthoughts tucked away until the pressure gets loud.
Because brave leadership also means building environments where people can perform, recover, and thrive.
Weâre 2 days away from the final edition of the Disruptive Leadership Conference - in-person and online!

I stepped away.
And something settled.
Nearly two weeks off.
No posting.
No noise.
Just⌠space.
Not everything needs to be shared
in real time.
Whatâs the FIRST thing I noticed?
The quality of my sleep improved tenfold â uninterrupted, peaceful rest 8 to 11 hours each night.
Now Iâm backâ
and itâs a FULL week ahead.
Weâre moving toward a New Moon in Taurus.
Not here yet⌠but already working.
I feel it.
This one isnât about rushing intentions.
Itâs about askingâ
what am I really anchoring into?
What stays?
What goes?
What gets reclaimed?
Because reclamationâŚ
is not delicate.
It disrupts.
And maybe thatâs the point.
This week, Iâll be in Miami
at the Disruptive Leadership Conference.
Final one.
Iâm stepping into a conversation on:
well-being as strategyâ
mental health, burnout, balance.
Iâm not coming with theory.
Iâve lived burnout â under the guise of performance â from the boardroom to the bedroom.
Iâve walked it all the way through
to the other side.
And it changed everything.
So Iâm showing upâ
present, honest, groundedâ
in a room that feels right on time.
If youâre there, Iâll see you.
If youâre not, find a way to tune in.
Some rooms⌠matter.
And this week?
Feels like one of them.

As we enter MayâŚ
May you remember who you are.
May your hopes find their way to you.
May your dreams rise to meet you.
May you live⌠in infinite possibility.
For the next few daysâ
Iâll be stepping away.
To listen.
To recalibrate.
To be.
Iâll be back when I come up for air.
Until thenâ
BE well.

Full Moon in Scorpio.
A moment of truth.
Of release.
Of clarity.
What are you holding onto
thatâs keeping you small?
What are you ready to step into
that requires courage?
Because this is what this moment doesâ
it strips away the noise.
And asks you one question:
What are you choosing?
Maybe itâs rest.
Maybe itâs joy.
Maybe itâs connection.
Maybe itâs something youâve been putting offâŚ
