Quite a large mod list has been assembling at the shop for the car, stay tuned for all the updates! 🏎️💨
Had an incredible 7 months with the @hybridracing Formula Exhaust for the FL5; this was the last exhaust I had on the FK8 and the first on this car. It has so much going for it that to not make this post TLDR, here’s some bullet points:

• Adds a valved offering to the FK8. Big difference between closed and open settings.
• Reuses existing valve on the FL5, and is the ONLY exhaust offering that includes an independent valve controller module so you can choose to open/close at your will. This is big because other systems like this cost upwards of $400 USD.
• Easy to install, no rattles or leaks post-install. Well made unit, speaks for itself.
• Deep tone, mild increase in volume over factory. I need to be able to cruise for load long distances, talk with passengers at a normal volume, and not wake up the neighborhood with a cold start and driving off. Perfect exhaust for that ✅

My only feedback to Hybrid would be to offer more tip options. Maybe some triples as the car came with top fill up the diffuser opening. Overall, would recommend!

@acuityinstruments Adjustable Short Throw Shifter installed 🕹️ The factory shifter is excellent, the factory shifter with upgraded components rivals a 911 GT3, and then this right here I can only imagine feels like something you'll only experience in something truly exotic like a gated 6-speed Ferrari 💯

The secondary metallic ring that you hear upon each shift is a result of the spacing between the Hybrid Racing Locking Nut, and Boot Collar - essentially two metal parts making contact and producing a "click-clack" sound similar to a shifter rod inside a metal gated shifter surround 🎶

The Honda S2000 Aluminum Shift Knob finishes up the setup for an OEM+ look 👌

Closing the wheel gap and enhancing the overall aesthetic without sacrificing ride quality and clearance over most obstacles - H&R’s fit the bill! Secondly, it’s not like the Type R’s have understeer but to promote a rearward handling balance the upgrade from a 20mm OEM hollow bar to a 22mm solid aftermarket rear sway bar is a welcomed upgrade - you notice the immediacy in turn-in response from the rear. Lastly, the lower control arms being adjustable will let you fine tune the alignment to your desired spec, evenly on both sides.

Massive thanks to @thuseefc for the install, and final alignment that tied in everything together. Direction changes are quick and high speed stability is even better!

Between my last post and this, I became a dad of a real life human being 🐣 While I figure out the new routine, my brother from another mother, @thuseefc , has been babysitting the FL5 baby the past week, and making all sorts of changes!

The factory wheel has been swapped out in favor of our @unity.performance Flat Bottom Steering Wheel! This is the top trim variant out of four options - Carbon Top and Bottom, Perforated Leather Sides, Grey Stitching. The Rim is a hair thicker all around, but nothing crazy. The presence of a Flat-Bottom is definitely a welcomed bonus because it eases getting in and out.

All in all a great aesthetic and functional change as it improves a big touchpoint of the car. I'm excited to get behind the wheel again when I'm back at the shop!
