What was the first rap song? You really wanna know? It's actually not a hiphop song, it's a rock and roll song, sung by none other than the great Chuck Berry. Rock is actually an ancestor of hiphop. James Brown was the creator of funk (which evolved into hiphop music), but originally he was a rock and roll singer, much like Jesus was the creator of Christianity, but originally he was a Jew.

We just finished up testing for our app, and now that it's ready, bboy lessons are being taught in San Jose. Booking is done via the app. Call or text 408/821-9810 for access to the app and book a bboy to learn from that will host you at the practice spot and show you the ropes.
This is the pic of Swahili Smoov that was used to create the Unit Session logo. The logo was created by Jonard Hybro. This photo was professionally taken to advertise an all-styles event, a jam in the Bay Area called Montage by Lauren Hoskins @montagedanceproductions
Real #hiphop with breaking in the video. This song's called “On The Mic” by DJ Honda featured Cuban Link, Juju, A.L., and Missin’ Linx (Problemz & Black Attack). Al’ Tariq is a member of both The Beatnuts and Missin’ Linx. This song adds a twist to the famous “La Di Da Di” verse by Slick Rick being sampled. Slick Rick performed at Freestyle Session, btw. If anyone knows the names of the bboys please let us know and we’ll credit. Other sample is from another Rick... Rick James' Mary Jane.
